our scholarship

The support that we received after Tyson's passing in 2018 was nothing short of amazing. After seeing this support, We asked ourselves a couple of questions.  How do we ever repay the community?  How do we ensure that Tyson's memory lives the way he would want it?   These questions were answered with the creation of the Tyson Wacker Memorial Scholarship Foundation.  A way to give back to the community in the name of Tyson to Assist graduating Student-Athletes on their journey in life because Tyson can’t.

The Fund directly benefits athletic high school students of Northern California. Seniors who have completed at least one season, of any sport, at any time while in High School and who have maintained a 3.0 GPA will be eligible for Tyson’s college scholarship. In addition, each year the Fund will provide financial assistance to qualifying freshman, sophomore, and junior student-athletes to purchase gear and to attend sports camps.

The Tyson Wacker Scholarship Foundation (T8W.org) would like to congratulate the following 2023 Graduating Seniors on receiving the Tyson Wacker Memorial Scholarship Fund.

We were able to give out 34 scholarships to 18 High Schools in Northern California.
